Facts about pet adoption

Not all rescues have been abused or “damaged”. Most rescues are surrendered because of a move or an illness that prevents the owner from giving proper care.

5-7 million dogs and cats enter shelters every year, while 3-4 million are euthanized.

25% of rescue dogs are purebreds.

Did you know that buying a dog or cat you may be supporting puppy mills and backyard breeders?
